 Happy Friday New Life,

I pray that you have had a great week and your June has started off in a great way. Tonight we are going to have our movie night on the Lawn come rain or shine. The weathermen have forecasted rain but we will are going to show up and have the screen up and projector going. Invite some friends and let’s have a good time tonight. Movie will start at Sundown or around 9pm. If anybody would like to come out around 830 to help set up that would be great. Also, don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs to sit in.

There are several other things happening this summer and even as early as tomorrow, see below:

  • Cardio Drumming Class tomorrow, June 10th, 12:30 pm. Don’t miss this opportunity for a free workout. Sonya Brailas is leading this class and it promises to be a great time!
  • June 21st - Special Missionary Service with Missionary Anny Crocker of Guatemala

NOTE: If any of our children are interested in going to any of our camps below, please let us know. We will help you financially if needed.

  • Primary Camp, Completed Grades 1-3, July 14-17
  • Junior Camp, Completed Grades 4-6, July 18-22

I want to draw you attention to the Church app and encourage you to use the daily devotional. Currently, the devotional is going through classic Christian leaders. Also, if you haven’t signed up for the app, let Pastor Andy know and he will send you a link. Daily Bible verses are sent out each day for encouragement as well.

Just a quick did you know; On this day, June 9th, 1732, Englishman James Oglethorpe received a royal charter to form the American colony of Georgia. Oglethorpe served in the British House of Commons and had a reputation as the champion of the oppressed. He was a defender of the American Colonies. Therefore, the reforms he had advocated finally moved him to propose a charity colony, “Georgia”  and he led the first group to Savannah. The original charter banned slavery and granted religious freedom.

 It is always good to remember where we have come from. We are a country built on Christian principals, do not let anyone tell you any different. It is documented everywhere. And in so doing, let us not forget those who are suffering, the widows, the orphans, the poor. Psalm 41:1-2 says this. Blessed is the one who considers the poor!  In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him; the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land;

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

  Blessings, Pastor Andy
