Happy Thursday New Life,
What a great Easter Sunday we experienced this past week. The presence of the Holy Spirit was powerful, and I have heard great reports from our children’s church as well. It is always exciting to baptize someone and especially on Easter; WAY TO GO PRESTON! So proud of you. For those that were able to witness the egg hunt afterwards, that was a lot of fun. Let me share a secret with you, they missed 4 eggs. But the important thing is they didn’t miss the truth about Easter and that is Jesus is Alive! He has Risen and it is our mission to go and share the GOOD NEWS!
This coming week is Faith Promise where we pledge what we will give over the next year towards the mission of the Church. Be in prayer about what God would have you do and step out in faith and obedience in your giving. This year our speaker is Mary Johnson Runion and she served in the mission fields of Mexico and Costa Rica. Don’t forget that we will have potluck afterwards followed by our gametime.

So I have been telling you about the new technology coming and today the first piece drops. It is our very own App. That’s right, find out what is going on anytime from your phone by downloading the New Life Church App. If you missed Sunday morning, you could watch the sermon and even download the notes with the scripture and fill in the blanks. There is a news feed that will keep you up to date with all newest happenings. Don’t be scared of it. Again, I will take time on Sunday, April 23rd, to walk through the new technology so that everyone understands how to use it. If you missed downloading it from the text, below is the link.
Let me share a short thought with you. The story of the two guys walking on the road to Emmaus and meeting up with Jesus is one of my favorites. It was after the crucifixion, and they didn’t know about the resurrection. The world seemed dark, ugly, and chaotic. Although, through their grief, anxiety, maybe even fear, they did not recognize Jesus, Jesus recognized them. Jesus always sees us; Jesus always knows who we are and ultimately makes himself known. Whether you know it or not, Jesus is walking with you today in midst of whatever you are going through. Rest assured Jesus cares and wants you to tell him all about it. Remember the work he did on the cross, and power he showed through an empty tomb! HE IS RISEN!
May the peace of God and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ rest upon you,
Blessings,
Pastor Andy
