Happy Thursday New Life,
It’s May in Oklahoma and that means storms and allergies. Which one is worse? Well I am sure there is a good argument for both. I hope the last several weeks have been good to you as many of you have kids and grandkids that are finishing school. Even as the school year ends, we have a busy year shaping up in our out-reach ministry. But before I get to those exciting opportunities of service, I want to recognize our students in the Class of 2023.Our College graduate is Hannah Ketchum. She graduated with Bachelors in Science in Nursing. She begins work at Oklahoma Children’s on June 19. Our High School students are: 1) Braylon Ketchum. Braylon will attend NEO A&M on a football scholarship, 2) Caleb Reeves. Caleb is beginning his work career and is currently working at Wendy’s.
CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2023!
This Saturday we will be visiting the Mid-Del Assisted Living Home to give Mother’s Day gifts out. It would be great to have a good amount of you show up and visit with the residents and maybe even sing a song or two. Let’s plan on meeting at the church at 1:15 and heading over as a group. It will be a blessing to them and to you.
Below are the other upcoming events:
There are a couple of other ministry opportunities coming up soon that I also want to put on your radar. We will be partnering with the new pre-Head Start program that is starting down the road from us at the Vo-tech. They have an open house at the end May that we will be attending. More details will be coming in how we can minister to these families. Also, this fall we will be starting an after-school Bible Club at the one our local elementaries. The location is still to be determined. This will be one day a week and will last for about 2 hours. If you are interested in participating in this ministry please inform Pastor Andy.
In honor of our mothers this week, I want to share a quote from the Reverend William Marrion Branham. He had this to say, “A good praying wife or mother, can do more for the Kingdom of God on her knees at home, than sometimes the preacher can do on the platform.” And with that I say AMEN! Thank you to all of our Mothers!
May God’s love and grace fall on you abundantly the rest of this week!
Blessings,
Pastor Andy
