It’s Hump Day New Life,

 

You have made it to the midpoint of the week and what better way to celebrate than to come to church tonight. Tonight is our monthly worship service with Casa de Oración. This will be our third and the last time was even better than the first. So I can’t wait to see what God has in store for tonight, don’t miss out on a wonderful blessing! Also, bring a side dish, a main dish, a dessert, whatever you want because we always eat and have a time of fellowship afterwards. And can I encourage you to sit with our friends from the Casa de Oración when you eat, let’s get to know each other better. That’s tonight at 7pm.

 

Here are a few other things that are just around the corner and a few reminders.

  • Monday Night Bible Study will not meet on September 4th so you can celebrate Labor Day!
  • Wednesday, September 6th  – Youth night is back.  We will meet at the church @ 6:30. From there we will go somewhere a great for our study and then for an adventure around the city. You won’t want to miss it!
  • Sunday, September 24th – Zone Rally Service @ Choctaw – 5pm

 A quick update on the After School Bible Club. We will be putting that on hold for now as Caesar Chavez was unable to fit us into their facility at this time. Because many of our volunteers actually worked at the school, we now are deficient on the number volunteers needed to host a Bible club. Once we have enough people volunteer to help our children at one of our local elementaries we will look to start that ministry. Please be in prayer for that ministry.

  

Finally, this Saturday there will be a memorial service for Steve and Betty Wood at the church. Service starts at 1pm. Come and let’s celebrate a well lived life by both of these saints, and share your memories with the family.

 

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
